The Instructor and Trainer:

An enthusiastic teacher and trainer, Sue enjoys working with a wide range of students and horses of all ages and levels of experience, both in Dressage and Eventing. She has attended all the USDF rider-certification seminars, has successfully completed the Vi Hopkins instructor's program, and is a certified River Falls riding instructor.

Sue has trained many horses and students up to FEI levels, with numerous regional and USDF championships to their credit.   She has taught collegiate riding in Indiana, Wisconsin and Ohio.

What some of Sue's students and clients have to say...

"I have worked with Sue Kolstad for 4 years.  Three years ago I purchased a 3 year-old,
unbroken stallion - something I would never have attempted without Sue's help. She has walked me through every step of the way with my now 6 year-old gelding.  He recently received USDF Horse of the year for his breed, at Training Level.  Our ave. score was 67%.  Sue has given me the confidence and skills to become the rider I'd only dreamed about!  Her lessons are always productive and motivating.  No one puts more into their student's education than Sue, no matter what the age or level of riding ability."  - Lynda McNeely, owner of Spar Trek, USDF 2006 Curly Training Horse of the Year

"I have been riding with Sue for 3 years.  She has helped me take my appaloosa from "out of control" to civilized -  winning at Novice level eventing. Her background in jumping, dressage and eventing has been invaluable to me. She has taught me how to use my dressage in all phases of eventing.  I am learning how to be, not only a rider, but a trainer as well.  Sue has given me a broad education in all manner of horse training and care.  She is a very supportive coach in lessons and at shows.  She knows when to push and when to back off and give me chocolate. I owe my success in eventing to her.  - Sara McNeely, winner WCPC Horse Trails, Novice Division, 2006.
